• The following composition makes use of a collection of compound chords.
• The composition can be categorized as either a prelude or an etude.
• Throughout the piece, the main theme is presented twice, where the difference lies in the variation of dynamics, articulations and expressions.
• The score is organized in such a way that the top stave is dedicated to the right hand and the bottom stave to the left hand (either of which would include dynamics for the respective hands).
• Occasionally, a pedal sign will be placed below the top stave to give recognition to a recurring rhythmic pattern.
